Va Va Voom with Renault

2 spots + 1 idea = Clio experience

renault_clio

Renault surprises test drivers of their Clio with a single push of a button – Va Va Voom. Test drivers were directed to a spot by the salesman and when they stopped, they were asked to press the ultimate button – Va Va Voom. And they were in for a surprise, unforgettable experience. A surprise that will transform a mundane day into an exciting one. We have two videos here, one featuring a man and another a woman. Which of course states that the Clio is perfect for both sexes.

Idea:
Button pressed.
A romantic tune is being played, the two crossing pedestrians stopped and started kissing. The backdrop is seen wheeled-in. Violins playing and a baguette seller is hard selling his bread. The cream of the crop is when these bunch of scantily-clad of the opposite sex appears and started dancing and gyrating around the car.

Conclusion:
Personally, this ad is a combination of TNT’s ‘Push for Drama’ and Pepsi’s ‘Jeff Gordon Test Drive’. Your typical test drive session that surprised people. All in all it was a good effort. Best of all, it caters for both sexes and you get to experience Paris for that couple of seconds.

The Ultimate Paintball Duel

The automotive guys are back again – with a bang!

audirs4Audi, the decorated German automotive company, with the geniuses from the UK, has come out with their latest TVC – The Ultimate Paintball Duel.

Two Audi RS4 Avant Station Wagons are back-to-back. The duel will begin soon. Armed with a custom made 50-calibre paintball gun installed on the hood and GoPros [www.gopro.com] Cameras around the car, the entire scene was shot in a hangar with a couple of on-ground cameras and one helicopter camera.  Under the hood for each car is a V-8 engine with 450 horsepower.

The attributes of the cars are clearly pictured in the video. Great control on slippery surface and sudden evasions. The speed is out of this world and the slippin’ & slidin’ is just a plus as Traction Control has been disabled and the tires inflated a little more than usual.

BEGIN!

Fast vs Fast

Who’s faster? Take a wild guess.

The Race

Winner
Volkswagen Golf R
It took the Golf R to complete the track in 28 seconds (as per video). After watching the video over and over again, it is pretty obvious that Anthony couldn’t concentrate on solving the cube. He was seen frequently looking at the road ahead because psychologically, who wouldn’t when in a drifting and speeding car.

Would love to see another get-go only if VW decides to have a sequel. What d’ya think of this advertising gimmick?

Kudos to both Anthony and VW

I wanna be associated with Red Bull!

Who doesn’t right?

Red Bull has come a long way from an energy drink to a brand where adrenaline-high superstars come out and play. From Felix to Lolo, the sky is never the limit for Red Bull. Conquering both land and space for now. Anyone knows if they sponsored any sea adventures? If they did, that would be conquering the globe. Check out these superstars as Red Bull Media team crafted the stage for them to showcase their talents. 17 days of hard work, disappointments and crashes, Red Bull has made my day in just 6 minutes. The Athlete Machine – Red Bull Kluge is a video where sponsored superstars go about what they do best, linking each other with hand-built mechanisms (pretty similar to Honda’s The Cog video but with more panache). I guess they couldn’t get Felix to do it all over again can they.

Check out both videos – Behind the Scenes and The Finale – right now and share the adrenaline with all.

Behind the Scenes

The Finale

Superstars involved:

  • Sean MacCormac (Skydiver)
  • Joey Brezinski (Skateboarder)
  • Rickie Fowler (Golfer)
  • Danny MacAskill (Trials Biker)
  • Ryan Sheckler (Skateboarder)
  • Drew Bezanson (BMX Rider)
  • Bryce Menzies (Off-Road Truck Racer)
  • Rhys Millen (Drifter)
  • Robbie Maddison (Freestyle Motocross Rider)
  • Lolo Jones (Hurdler)
  • Pat Moore (Snowboarder)

Red Bull Kluge, simply Clever!

Top Automobile Slogans/Taglines

*Updated  (12th May 2017)
It just struck me that many of us drive the cars, but don’t know their slogans. Well, IMHO, many doesn’t care as long as the brand’s badge is still plastered at the front of the grille. I guess as Ad people, we look into the finer details and attention to a certain brand. Anyway, just for general knowledge, I have listed down a bunch of Top Automobiles and their corporate slogans / taglines.

What do you guys think? It was crazy looking for all the slogans as many have ad campaign slogans / punchlines. Certainly hope all is in place. Do correct me if I got something wrong here. Hope you enjoyed what your brand thinks of themselves and how they want you to feel about them.

Happy motoring.
